Lucas has an MBA from Rotman, MA in Economics from Penn and applied math background from UC Berkeley. He’s worked as a data scientist for major banks and a management consultant.

Edward has an M.D. from Icahn School of Medicine. He is a medical oncologist with more than 30 years of experience leading key functional areas in the strategic clinical therapeutic development.

Dave has a Ph.D from Stanford University and has more than 25 years of human therapeutic development experience as an executive at NoNO Inc. and Arbor Vita Corporation.  He has extensive knowledge in CMC, safety pharmacology and clinical trials.

David has a PhD in cell biology from Boston University followed by postdoctoral training at Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Career trajectory includes time as a bench scientist, departmental leader, and VC backed company building (Agios, Ember, Warp Drive, Evelo, Entrada).

Tomas has a double MSc degree in computer science, with focus on machine learning, cybersecurity and quantum computing. Before co-founding ProteinQure, he mastered the art of software engineering at Red Hat.

Chris has an MSc in Physics from University of Waterloo, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto. He has used physical simulations to study chemical and biological systems from one to one million atoms.

Mark holds a MSc in Theoretical Physics with a focus on quantum computing. During his undergraduate he also worked in the biology & chemistry labs developing a deep appreciation for interdisciplinary science and a keen interest in computational drug discovery.

Alex completed his PhD in Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University, developing novel neural network architectures for genetic variant analysis. He also has experience in diverse bioinformatics problems ranging from drug synergy prediction to modeling non-coding selection impacts.

Alima works alongside Maryna to discover novel peptide binders through phage display. She gained expertise in oncology and therapeutics at Triumvira Immunologics, leveraging her MSc from the University of Toronto, where she explored anti-CRISPR mechanisms on the CRISPR-Cas system.

Andrew leads pharmacology studies that support the IND-enabling initiative at ProteinQure. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto with a postdoc at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Previously, Andrew led small molecule discovery teams at Dalriada Drug Discovery.

Anita obtained her PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from University of Georgia and has postdocs from City of Hope National Medical Center and McGill University. Her experience lies in computer-aided drug design, allostery in proteins and glycobiology.

Aron is applying new methods to design high-affinity protein therapeutics. Aron spent his PhD and postdoctoral time alternating between designing proteins computationally and testing them in the lab. He has engineered de novo scaffolds, binders, and enzymes.

Ashlin has received a M. Sc. in Neuropharmacology from the University of Toronto and a B. A. Sc. from McMaster University. Ashlin’s passion is leveraging her multidisciplinary experience to find computational solutions to real-world science problems.

Bryden holds an MSc in Protein Biochemistry from Queen’s University. Passionate about bridging the gap between biology and business, he has made broad contributions in developing protein therapeutics for unmet clinical needs.

Cynthia holds a Mus. Bac. and M. Musicology from UofT, and spent over a decade performing in musicals and operas across Canada and internationally. Today, she is passionate about improving business processes while fostering a positive work culture.

David holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, specializing in deep learning for pharmacogenomics. He also earned an MSc from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), focusing on multi-agent reinforcement learning.

Elliot completed his PhD in Computer Science at McGill University and Mila. His expertise lies at the intersection of machine learning and computational biology. Elliot is passionate about using data science to improve human health outcomes.

Francine leads the IND-enabling initiative at ProteinQure, leveraging her expertise in oncology therapeutics from roles at Northern Biologics, OICR and the Broad Institute. She earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto and completed a postdoc at Harvard Medical School.

Gabe has a varied background in infrastructure and network management. He graduated from Oxford Brooks University with an MSc in Sustainable Architecture before deciding to move into the computing space.

Glenn, PhD from the UNC Chapel Hill, was previously a research scientist at New York University (both in NY and Abu Dhabi). His research has spanned areas including protein design & biophysics, peptidomimetics, nanomaterials and high content screening.

Julie has 13 years of experience in global organisations, including Pfizer, Colorcon, OICR, Cyclica, and Recursion. She is passionate about computational drug discovery, particularly when it benefits those with unmet needs.

Maryna leads discovery of novel peptide binders through phage display, taking advantage of her experience in biologics generation gained at the Toronto Recombinant Antibody Center. She earned her PhD in Molecular Biology from University of Toronto studying protein interactions.

Mindy supports Maryna’s discovery of novel peptide binders and conducts their cell-based characterization. She has industry research experience in biologics and an academic background in molecular biology and cell and mouse models of disease and tissue function.

Nick has worked on a wide range of scientific and software engineering applications including solar cell design, embedded interface programming, machine learning, and cloud architecture. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BSc in Applied Physics.

Paggy has an MSc from McMaster University and 17 years of experience in clinical operations. She has led global clinical studies across many therapeutic indications and is inspired to work in developing novel therapeutics for patients with unmet needs.

Parth has a diverse background spanning software engineering, machine learning, and biology. He graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BS and MSE in Biomedical Engineering. Before ProteinQure, he’s worked for biotech and genomics companies.

Ruby completed an undergraduate dual degree in business administration (HBA) and medical sciences (BMSc) from Ivey Business School and Western University. She previously worked at Trillium Therapeutics (now a division of Pfizer) and Sinai Health.

Shannon supports Tracy and Sungwon in the prosecution of experimental workflows for internal drug discovery programs. She holds a Bachelor’s in Nanotechnology Engineering and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her graduate research explored targeted mRNA nanomedicines for cancer immunotherapy.

Sungwon drives the experimental prosecution at ProteinQure to support the advancement of internal drug discovery efforts. He completed his PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto, exploring the diverse mechanisms of anti-CRISPR proteins.

Tracy leads the prosecution of experimental workflows for internal drug discovery programs. She completed her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Toronto and her postdoc at the Hospital for Sick Children, with a focus on biophysics and peptide chemistry.
